From private sector Jean Baptiste changed vision to enter academic Sector as it was the dream since childhood.After the Bachelor's degree of science in Computer Science from National University of Rwanda he is working as Instructor at Regional ICT Training and Research Centre. The RITC is a partner centre with NCC from United Kingdom. Since January 2010 he is pursuing the masters program of Science in Operational Communications.

Jean Baptiste NSENGIYUMVA is a son of Nzarora Elias and Nyirarwimo Athalie and was born on 1st January 1972. Jean Baptiste is aliased Gikanu by his childhood mates and then BITIBIBISI in the politic sector for the hop of prosperity.

 Jean Baptiste Nsengiyumva joined the Roman Catholic Church and was baptized in 1985. He was born into a family member of 7th day Adventist church.

Jean Baptiste Nsengiyumva was born at Kabatwa /Mutura into a family of traditional agriculturists. In 1987 he went to the College de Gisenyi (Inyemeramihigo). In 1993 He was admitted as student in the faculty of Science doing Pure Physics at National University of Rwanda one year before the genocide against Tutsi in 1994.

 

After the period of exile in DRC (Kibumba refugee camp) resumed studies at NUR five years later. He opted for computing sector as the new emerging domain. He was awarded a BC’s degree in Science with Distinction and in 2007 and since serving the country as Instructor in Kigali Institute of Science and Technology in RITN/NCC.


 Jean Baptiste is married to Drocelle Nyiraboneza and has four sons.

1.     Nzarora Nsenga Pacifique born on 25 Novembre 1995

2.     Kwizera Nsenga Jean Sauveur born on  23 August 1998

3.     Gisubizo Nsenga Frank born  on 1 August 2006

4.      Migisha Nsenga Peter born on 17 March 2009

Jean Baptiste Nsengiyumva has been involved in many social activies:

    • April 2005-April 2006: GUILD PRESIDENT of the General Students’ Association of National University of Rwanda (AGEUNR).
    • 2002-2006: Youth Mobilisation Leader (Unity and Reconciliation) in National University of Rwanda.
    • November 2006: Leader in implementing Youth Association in Fighting Genocide Ideology and Refugeeism in GISAGARA District.
    • March 2006: Promotion of Culture of Peace and Tolerance by Rwanda National Commission of UNESCO.
    • January 2006: Seminar on Civic Education and Electoral Process.
    • May –June 2005: Global Youth Genocide Prevention forum by Never Again International (Rwanda Chapter).
    • December 2005: Leader in initiating and carrying out a ten days seminar on patriotism for the youth of MUGOMBWA District in the Southern Province.
    • June-October 2004: Training on Civic Education and Patriotism Organised by National University of Rwanda (1st phase).
    • June-September 2005: Leader on Civic Education and Patriotism Organised by National University of Rwanda (2nd phase).
