Dr. Ali M. Mahamud is the Executive Director of Generation For Change. www.thegcg.org
Dr. Ali Mahamud, co-founder and Executive Director of Generation for Change and Growth, has graduated from the University of Minnesota. He studied Bs. in Physiology before moving on to complete his Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in 2006 at the same University. He obtained an MBA at Concordia University. Dr. Mahamud also holds a Diploma of Pharmacy (Dip-Pharm) from Kenya Medical College.
Through the Generation for Change and Growth, Inc (GCG), an organization he founded, Dr. Mahamud advocates for acces and affordability of Education and Health care for all, particularly in developing nations. He has created a global network of volunteer educators and health care professionals who give their time to schools and health care institutions in Africa. Most of the education and health care volunteering was happening in Kenya.
Dr. Mahamud has delivered over 4000 solar and battery powered Laptops to Northern Kenya schools in partnership with Renaissance Electronics of Minnesota, USA. These effort dabbed Alphasmart for Africa has impacted over 10,000 students in the region in the categories of both primary and secondary schools.

Dr. Mahamud is also the founder of Voice of Nomads (www.voiceofnomads.com), an online news portal that reports for the voiceless communities in Kenyas' rural areas. He has unrelentling interest in social change and global sustainability. He has published numerous articles addressing the plight of the poor and misrepresented communities in Kenya
