Sift together the flour, baking powder and spices. In another bowl, combine the eggs and potatoes, then beat in the dry ingredient mixture to make a stiff dough.
Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a thickness of about half inch. With a knife, cookie cutter, or the rim of a glass, cut into shapes, Fry in deep fat for about 2 or 3 minutes. Drain on clean, absorbent cloths.
Variation: Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and serve as a desert.
