Jonas Sakuwaha was born on July 22, 1983 in Zambia.

Sakuwaha previously appeared for ZESCO United for whom he appeared at the2009 CAF Champions League. He moved to French side Lorient on 1 September 2009.Sakuwaha signed on loan for Le Havre for the 2010-11 seasons before moving to Sudan in December 2010 to play for Al-Merreikh.

Sakuwaha has represented the Zambian national side. He played at the 2OO8 CECAFA Cup and the 2009 African Championship of Nation, but rejected a call-up to the squad for the 2010 Africa Cup of Nation.
