I am also currently a student of MA. Media, Conflict and Peace studies at University for Peace (UPEACE), Costa Rica. I have worked with Daily Monitor, Uganda Radio Network, a radio news agency as a Kampala based reporter, Africa Broadcasting Corporation Ltd ( Nation TV Uganda) covering mostly conflict issues. My work on peace and security was recognised at the 2008 Ugandan Investigative Journalism Awards hosted by Makerere University Department of Mass Communication. I worked for The Independent news magazine in Uganda from mid 2008 and I continue to write for the magazine’s blog Uganda Talks as I study.
I am from Bushenyi, South Western Uganda where I lived for 19 years.
