In the 2008 games Kaki will make his Olympic debut as one of the top contenders for the men's 800m event. Formally a soccer goalie, Kaki is the new middle distance running sensation. He became the youngest world champion in history when he won the men's 800m in March with a time of one minute and 44.81 seconds. He also set a Sudanese National record at the 2007 All Africa games.
