The Washington Office on Africa (WOA) is a church-sponsored not-for-profit advocacy organization seeking to articulate and promote a just American policy toward Africa. It monitors Congressional legislation and executive policies and actions and issues action alerts to advance progressive legislation and policy. It seeks to work in partnership with colleagues in Africa, the Africa advocacy community in the United States, and grassroots organizations concerned with various aspects of African affairs. Its current Millenial Campaign for Africa focuses on achieving debt cancellation; fair, not free trade;increased development aid and significantly greater funding to address the AIDs pandemic.
