The African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) recognizes that the wildlife and wild lands of Africa have no equal. We work with people - our supporters worldwide and our partners in Africa - to craft and deliver creative solutions for the long-term well-being of Africa's remarkable species, their habitats and the people who depend upon them. We have been working with the people of Africa since 1961. Most of our staff is based in Africa, spread between eight countries, working at the grass roots with park managers and communities to safeguard wildlife and wilderness areas. AWF focuses on the big picture while achieving concrete results, helping African nations design successful long-term strategies for conserving their magnificent natural treasures.
