Tabarka is located in a breathtaking, mountainous area of Kroumirie. It is much more popular with local Tunisians and does not have the resort-town feel of areas such as Hammamat and Susse. The voyage to Tabarka will lead you through some of the most picturesque countryside that Tunisia has to offer.

In the town of Tabarka itself, there is a medina area, many cafes and plenty of areas with beaches to swim. Sea coral is a fairly priced, widely sold commodity in Tabarka, and there is an annual Coral Festival in the city. Two nearby Roman cities, Bulla Regia and Chemtou, certainly merit a visit.
