This is a really fascinating open market with great sights, sounds, tastes, smells. The food here is well priced and the freshest you can find in all of Gabon. The vendors are friendly and will often let you sample their goods. Get staples of bread, other grain-based products, fruits, vegetables, and even fish and meat if you have a place to cook and store it. Take some of the stuff to the street to snack and people watch or go have a picnic on the nearby beaches. There are even some nice wines that you can pick up. Easy and cheap!
