Chisamba Lungu was born on January 31, 1991 in Kafue,Zambia.

Lungu started his career in the ranks of domestic club Zanaco FC. He soon caught the eye of several European scouts, and eventually signed with Georgian top division side FC Baia Zugdidi.

After one season in Georgia, Baia and Ural, a club in Russia, reached an agreement over the transfer of Lungu who signed a two-year contract. Becoming the first player from Africa in the Ural history, he made his debut in the Russian First Division on August 24, 2010 against FC Avangard Kursk.
