Amos Q. graduates from the United Methodist University on the 9th of August and competes in the BHP Billiton Marathon on the 28th of August 2011.
Amos Q. Tokpa is a young Liberian born on December 24, 1981 in Caldwell, Bushrod Island. His parents are Mr. Flomo Tokpa and Mrs. Kebeh Tokpa.
Amos family originates from Zorzor District in Lofa County in the Northern part of Liberia. He is of the Lorma tribe.
Amos graduated in 2006 from the Assemblies of God Mission High School in Sinkor, Monrovia. He attended the Global Institute of Vocational Education and studied Airline Ticketing.
In 2008, he graduated with a certificate in Microsoft Office Applications from the Inter-Digital Computer Institute in Monrovia. He is currently a student of the United Methodist University. Amos will be graduating on August 9, 2011 with a bachelor degree in Management.
He is a devoted Christian.
Few weeks ago, Amos and many other young people from his university learnt about the BHP Billiton sponsored Marathon and decided to make a run for the grand prize.
Every Sunday morning, Amos and his friends gathered at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex for their regular training session. This training exercise is a means of preparing each participant for the competition on the 28th of August 2011.
In a short interview with AllAfrica Global Media, Amos expressed his desire to win the race and also explained that he is dedicating the marathon to his beloved mother, Mrs. Kebeh Tokpa, and aunty, Mrs. Olivia Sorbor, for their continuous support and advice to him through school and during his day to day activities.
He loves them very much.
