Currently, I work as the Director of Health Services for the Ho municipality.This involves assuring the health conditions in which the people live and stay healthy by providing or supervising preventive, promotive and curative health services for a population of 225,000.

I bring my skills in strategic planning, organisation and management to bear on the provision of health care for the people to ensure services are affordable, accessible and of the required or acceptable quality.

I received my basic education in the Horvi AME Zion School.  My secondary education was from the Keta Secondary School and the Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School. I studied general medicine from the University of Ghana Medical School, public health from the Swiss Tropical Institute, Basel and the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium. and public sector management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

I have vast experience in health systems organisation and management,. having worked as district and municipal director of health services and having run a number of hospitals in the Ghana Health Service.

I have been a group facilitator in the District health management course of the Swiss Tropical Institute, a short term M&E consultant to the Community Health Planning and Services, Ghana Health Service PPMED, and recently a Consultant to the West African Health Organisation (WAHO) and undertaken a Community of Practice on Service Delivery study of the implementation of the High Impact Interventions in two districts in Ghana.

 

I am married with two children. I have been the Club President of the Ho Alpha Lions Club in 2004/2005 Lionistic Year.
