Susan Tsvangirai was the wife of MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai. Tsvangirai is the prime minister of Zimbabwe.
While Susan Tsvangirai was not actively involved in the MDC, she has accompanied her husband at the party's campaign rallies over the past 10 years.
She died on March 6, 2009 in a car accident in which her husband was also injured. Mrs Tsvangirai, according to reports, "died on the spot."
Morgan and Susan have been married for 31 years and have six children.
