Description of Work:
Victor Kamanga is a Malawi national with 21 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. He began his career working with the Oil Company of Malawi, and then moved on to hold various positions at the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Agriculture, and then as a teacher at the Fundani Private Secondary School. Mr. Kamanga helped establish the Malawi Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (MANET+), an umbrella organization of more than 450 associations and support groups of HIV-positive persons and their collaborators, in 1997 and served as the first vice president of its National Executive Committee. In 2001 he joined the staff of MANET+ as national coordinator, and still works there today as the acting executive director. Mr. Kamanga graduated from Chancellor College, a constituent college of the University of Malawi in Zomba, with a degree in the pure sciences, and is currently pursuing an MBA with an emphasis on marketing.
