FREDDY WILL

Releases New Version of Debut Album

While I’m Still Young – The Talking Drums 1.2v

A new version of Freddy Will’s debut album While Im Still Young - The Talking Drums 1.2v  features cutting edge music production by JUNO Award winner Eddie Bullen and underground crossover producer Stephen Stadelmann.

The four (4) new singles are: Look At Me Now, While I’m Still Young II, Providence and Waiting For Your Love.  Some of the guest artists include JUNO Award winners Liberty Silver and Diane Seaton, and 5 GRAMMY Award winner Carvin Winans who is featured on the track Providence.  The album is presented by Ghetto Breed Entertainment (GBE), distributed by Double K Records and was released on August 11th, 2009.

The original version was released on September 23rd, 2008.  The promoter and distributor, Soulkiss ENT/DEP/Universal Music Canada hardly promoted the album and didn’t distribute the album physically in stores on the release date.  These actions fully breached the contract with GBE and after this failed Soulkiss ENT team led effort, the decision was made by GBE to sever the agreement entirely due to the breach.

Freddy Will, who is the CEO/President of Ghetto Breed Entertainment decided to re–release the album in 2009 with some new additional tracks and remixes, along with the launch of his first self–written book entitled, My Book of Chrymes which he penned under his real name, Wilfred Kanu, Jr.

This version of the album contains a total of 21 tracks which includes 3 new songs, 3 remixed singles (City Boy, Strangers and Animal) and revamped versions of 9 tracks from the original album. The concept of the album is still based on success and accomplishment while being young enough to still enjoy it.
