After the critical success of the 2001 revival/release of Pirate's Choice, orchestral baobab went back to the studio and returned in 2002 with Specialist in All Styles -- produced by Youssou N'dou and featuring Ibrahim Ferrer. Both albums are introducing a new generation of fans to this rare hybrid African-Afro-Cuban band.

Founded in 1970, Orchestra Baobab fused Afro-Cuban rhythm and Portuguese Creole melody with Congolese rumba, high life and a whole gamut of local styles - kickstarting a musical renaissance in their native Senegal, which turned the capital Dakar into one of the world's most vibrant musical cities.
