For free listen: http://music.calabashmusic.com/world/africa/eritreaFaytinga represents three of Eritrea's nine tribes.Faytinga herself participated in Eritrea's fight for independence from the age of fourteen, got her education...
She has participated on a struggle against the derg dictator's regime for independence and i appreciate that but Eritreans are not independent people yet. This shows that another struggle is yet to be done.
Kemila you are incorrect. Eritreans successfully executed a genuine revolution without the help of any external force. Now they are the owners of their own fate and destiny. Everyone family paid a high price and they would not trade that freedom for any prize. While most of its neighbors are either in bondage, being exploited, improving on their puppetry/diplomacy or engulfed in deep internal conflicts, the Eritreans are able to concentrate on what they do best—working very hard to improve their living standards….and coming up with nice music apparently.
