X Plastaz are probably the most internationally known hip hop group to come out of Tanzania. The fact that they are Maasai, and based in Arusha, adds to their uniqueness. The group consists of six members; the brothers Nelly, Gsan and Ziggy, singer Yamat Ole Meipuko, and two teenage siblings of the brothers. The group was formed in 1996.
