The story of an African American female doctor who comes to Kilimanjaro to work at a hospital for the mentally disturbed. She meets Samahe, a sometimes catatonic patient who appears to be in communication with the spiritual realm. The two women are connected by an ancient and mysterious ancestor and begin a primal journey of spiritual awakening.
