This is a delightful book on a much overlooked area of both history and geography. The city of Asmara is chillingly untouched by decades of design change elsewhere in the world, and this is a delightful look into a world that seems to exist still in Musollini's legacy. This is an unusual photography book on Africa: most refuse to acknowledge African cities as anything more than the site of desperation, destitution and crime. But here the architecture does the real talking, and as it were, they have a lot to say. Great photos and a number of floor plans as well. A whole new look on Eritrea.
