A boy named "Elvis" comes of age up in the urban socio-cultural maze of 1990's Lagos, between war and peace, desperation and triumph, quietly optimistic but looking for a way out.  While the story itself is rather bland, colorful language and vingettes about everyday life in Lagos for the young and those who simply never matured make it well worth reading.
