On the outskirts of Oshogbo lies the Sacred Forest, a large area of rainforest and a Shrine to Oshuno, the River Goddess. The Forest is full of works of art, including many sculptures by Suzanne Wenger (known locally as Aduni Olosa, the 'Adored One'), an Austrian painter and sculptor who visited the region in the 1950s.

The Forest is a UN World Heritage Site.
