Located east of the Rift Valley in the Kenyan Highlands, Mt. Kenya, an extinct volcanos, serves as an imposing figure on the Kenyan landscape with its two snow-capped peaks, Batian at 5200m and Nelion at 5188m. The surrounding park encompasses 715 square km, offering a diverse range of flora and fauna perfect for hiking and game viewing. The park also offers accomadtions including camping and a lodge.

How_to_find:
175 kms from Nairobi, the park can be reached on Nanyuki-Isiolo road via Sirimon Track or Nyeri-Nanyuki road near Naro Moru. The park is also reachable via Chogoria on the Embu - Meru road, about 150km north of Nairobi. *****Please keep in mind that travel in Kenya is still potentially very dangerous at this time and not recommended except for anyone who lacks experience in the region.
