Daniel Ekedo

Equatorial Guinea

Daniel Vladmir Ekedo Chigozirim (born 19 September 1989 in Lagos, Nigeria), simply Ekedo, is a naturalized Equatoguinean football striker. He currently plays for San Roque de Lepe in the Spanish Segunda DivisiĆ³n B (Group 4).

Club career

Ekedo played in Equatorial Guinea for Akonangui and Deportivo Mongomo. He then moved to Spain for a trial with the Segunda División B club San Roque. He was a starter in a friendly match against the Segunda División side Recreativo de Huelva, which his team won 2-1.

International career

Ekedo was called by Vicente Engonga (Equatorial Guinea's head coach) for the squad that played against Sierra Leone on 8 September 2008, however he did not appear in the match.[3] Ekedo eventually played in a friendly match against Mali on 25 March 2009.

On 8 February 2011, Ekedo scored his first goal with the senior team.
