 Felix Katongo was born on April 18, 1984 in Zambia.

Katongo has played in Zambia for Forest Rangers F.C.  from 2001 to 2002 and Green Buffaloes F.C from 2003 to 2005, in South Africa for Jomo Cosmos F.C. from 2005 to 2006 scoring one goal during his stay at the club and Mamelodi Sundowns F.C. (2009 to 2010) with one goal, in Angola for Petro Atlético F.C. from 2006 to 2007, and in France for Rennes B (2007 to 2008) scoring two goals and for LB Châteauroux F.C. from 2008 to 2009.

Katongo is currently playing for Al-Ittihad FC in Libya and FC Ashdod in Israel.

He played 42 matches for his national team, scoring 5 goals.

Katongo made his international debut in 2004.

His last most important international match with Zambia took place on March 29th, 2009, which ended with a 1-1 draw against Egypt in Cairo and led to disqualifying Egypt for the World Cup 2010.
