John F. Lloyd, MBA, is Commissioner, Office of African Affairs Government of the District of Columbia. A recognized leader among Liberians in the Diaspora, Lloyd also serves as Chairman of Governance & Reform on the Liberian Diaspora Advisory Board, Embassy of Liberia Washington DC. He holds an MBA in Management and a BA in Communications. He is the former General Manager of Global Africa Media. He is noted for his past roles as guest analyst on African issues for major international media including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC); CNN News; and a number of local and national radio stations in the United States. Other noted media roles include guest lecturer on African Journalism: University of the District of Columbia; Vice President, Association of Liberian Journalists in America; President of the Liberian Community Association in Washington DC (1997-2002); and Chairman, National Leadership Council, of Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA) (2000-2002).

Its amazing how Mr. Llord has pushed himself forward, representing Liberia out there as a commissioner, and still moving ahead. This too is Liberia, my people! I am really proud of him. May the Almighty God continue to Bless him in all that he does.
