Edwin Snowe is one of the youngest persons to have
attained the title of Speaker of the Liberian House of legislature. He is the former son-in-law of the former President Charles Taylor.
He resigned as speaker, but remains a member of the House of
Representatives.
He also served as Chairman of the Liberian Football Association. Before becoming speaker, there was a lot debate regarding his
academic credentials for the position. He is currently a student at the University of Liberia
Snowe is on the UN travel ban, prohibiting him from leaving the country.
He is also on trial for alledgedly misappropriating U.S $1 million when he was
Managing Director of the Liberian petroleum and Refining Company.
