FVA is committed to improving the lives of children women and families living in under-privileged communities in the African Continent.

Organization Details

Family Vision Africa, a statutory registered entity under the Ghana Company Law, is a non-governmental, non-profit, voluntary based humanitarian international organization, headquartered in Accra, Ghana-West Africa. We are made up of individuals of different nationalities, backgrounds and experiences who are fully committed to improving the lives of women and children, families and rural communities in the African continent.

The vision of FVA ‘is to move our neighborhoods, our nation, and the world toward integral communities of shared prosperity, shared opportunities, shared responsibility and a real sense of genuine belonging’’ with real act of selfless service to society.  FVA seeks a world where every individual feels part of the larger development having a form of dignity characterized by innovativeness and strength 

FVA works in many fields of operation; from providing educational opportunities financial technical assistance to innovative programmes and strategies to create equal opportunities for the empowerment of under-privileged women for sustainable livelihood, supplying water wells, to building schools and providing educational opportunities; This creates a better platform for individuals, companies, institution and organizations and governments to fund aspects of our project that deems most appropriate. This could be for a particular region or a specific area of our work

 

 

                         CURRENT PROJECT

Family Village Project

 

The organization is working on 20 acres of land at Dodowa, Ghana, for a community based model educational complex. The project when completed will comprise of the following facilities:

 

1)     Educational Complex; Classrooms Blocks, Library, Computer Laboratory, Reading Rooms Boarding Facility and School Administrative Block

2)     Healthcare Centre 3) Sports Complex/ Fitness Center 4) Volunteers’ Block(Housing facility for foreign and local volunteers and associate staff Workers)  5) Gardens for relaxation 6) Counseling Centre

 

The purpose of the project is to provide quality and result oriented services to discover, direct, motivate and develop the abilities of the under-privileged Ghanaian children, to get more children from the street one child at a time.

DATE: Saturday, 30th October, 2010.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Total Emancipation, a Family Vision Africa Initiative is an annual gathering of philanthropists, partners, development agencies, corporate entities, government official, footballers, musicians, film actors and actresses, general public and some Africans in the Diaspora to raise a large support base to support charity work in Africa.

This year’s programme is termed TOTAL EMANCIPATION 2010-THE AFRICAN CHILD IN PERSPECTIVE and has the theme Your Role, My Role; Our Collective Responsibility. The programme is organized in aid of The Family Village Project; a model community based Educational Complex on 20 acres of land at Dodowa, where holistic development of the under-privileged African child shall take place, to get more children out of the street, one child at a time.

 

The programme will be a Fundraising dinner, live concert and talk show, dance drama, choreography and documentary.
