Afia Mala
Afia Mala whose nickname is «la Princesse des rives du Mono» started singing in a group know as Habobo and at annual events held at her school. She was influenced by Bella Bellow a blues singer, from a young age.

Her career took of in 1984 when she came out with Ten Homte.

Her music is influenced by afro-cuban, European, and American rythms and she sings in seven Dialects of Benin and Togo, and Swahil. Afia Mala's CD, Plaisir was released in 2003.
