Although it is not very architecturally interesting, the September First Stadium Asmara is an important monument commemorating the beginning of Eritrea's armed struggle. It is also commonly called the "Bahti Meskerem."

The area is filled with activity, as a shopping and business mall. Find good souvenirs and meet local people in this region.
