A recognized World Heritage site, this is one of the best reserves for wildlife in West Africa. There are chimpanzees, other primates, elephants, lions, and rare birds in the area.
The best time to come is between March and May to see most of the park’s animals; yet, it is a very hot season. The Niokolo Koba national park is closed during winter.
You can lodge inside the park, where there is a hotel and many camps in or its surroundings.
