I saw this movie and it gave me fond memories of my youth.Back in the day when a brother would stand tall and say it loud. The days when people would hang out in the park to get the latest information about up and coming community events, just hanging listening to music seeing friends, playing cards and so much more. This is not in the movie but in the film he refers to those days and I can relate. I saw so many brothers rail-roaded into prisons. Not by accident but by design, some our most brilliant minds were locked up. This brother dared to live the dream and go to the Motherland. He made a difficult choice knowing that he would never be able to return like so many that left the country. He is a real solider. In one part in the film when he asked the young brothers who came to experience Africa for the first time do the brothers and the sisters still hang out in the park and what was sad to me was they did not know what he was talking about. My brother panther's heart seem to break just a little bit when he heard that. Once the panters where infiltrated that was the end of a good thing. Where do you think the lunch program in America came from, yes the Black Panthers and once they were destroyed the government took their idea and ran with it. Power to the People Pete O'Neal! Memories of a Sista Friend.
